Leandra Mateo, Counselor Intern at Boundless Hope Christian Clinical Counseling in Florida

Would you like to learn new strategies for overcoming life’s obstacles? Are there relationship patterns that you have tried to change but they keep resurfacing? Are you finding it difficult to achieve your goals or create positive, sustainable change in your life? I am equipped to help in all of those areas!

Hello! My name is Leandra Mateo. I am passionate about providing compassionate, faith-centered care to those navigating emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, my upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of community and resilience. As a bilingual clinician, I am able to connect deeply with individuals from diverse cultures and experiences.

During my college years in Iowa, I had the privilege of leading a young women’s faith-based counseling group. This experience ignited my passion for guiding others through spiritual and emotional growth, a calling I have carried into my work as a counselor.

At Boundless Hope, I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals feel supported and empowered. If you schedule a session with me, you can expect to be heard and understood in our time together. Using evidence-based techniques grounded in Christian principles, I aim to help you build resilience, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. My approach emphasizes active listening and holistic support, addressing emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs.

"Driven by a desire to create lasting change in my community, I combine my faith, empathy, and experience to help people work through life’s difficulties, build resilience, and find purpose."

Now living in Tampa, I serve as a worship leader at my local church, where I inspire others through my love for music and faith. My life’s mission is to bring hope and healing to individuals of all ages; I am excited to work in a clinical setting with adults, adolescents, children, and families. I believe in walking alongside my clients, offering empathy as they share their challenges, assessing their needs, and building the rapport needed to cultivate trust.

It is a privilege to be part of the Boundless Hope team, where I can live out my commitment to integrating faith-based principles with compassionate care. I look forward to supporting you on your journey to wholeness and well-being. I’d love to connect and discuss your
